Description

A 60-minute sports massage that targets your pain and problems.

A sports massage is a type of therapeutic massage.

It is designed to help active people prepare for and recover from the impact of training and participating in any sport.

During a sports massage session, I will use a variety of techniques, such as deep tissue massage, advanced stretching, and trigger point therapy, to help improve flexibility, reduce muscle soreness, and promote faster recovery from injury.

The massage typically focuses on the areas of the body that are most affected by your activity. This could the legs and back for runner, the low back and shoulder for surfers or the upper body for golfers.

Whatever your sport the strain on your body will vary.  The working muscles and joints become overused, underused or misused. Our sessions will iron out any reminiscences, prevent future injury and improve performance.

Sports massage should be part of any event preparation such as a race or tournament. Likewise it is particularly effective post any major strain on the body such as a heavy gym session or event.

We'll start every session with a short discussion and range of movement tests that help guide the direction of the session.

It's best to wear loose comfortable clothing that you can easily reposition or remove depending on the area of the body being treated.

Most clients have 2 to 3 massage sessions in the first 2 weeks to address and get ahead of the main issues.

Following that, clients drop to a maintenance treatments of 1 session per month. However all this depends on your injury/problem, availability and how much treatment you want and need.

After the massage I will provide aftercare advice and recommend any stretches or exercises that will help to support the benefits of the massage.

I look forward to seeing you in the clinic to prevent injuries and/or getting you pain free.

Regards Neale
